LEGACY MAKERS UNITE
Are you wondering just who exactly is a "Legacy Maker?"
Well, I don't know you of course, but I think it is safe to assume you already know a Legacy Maker - and you're probably one yourself!
I don't think you would've made it this deep into the site if we weren't kindred spirits (as Anne -that's Anne with an e- of Green Gables is known for saying).
Getting more technical:
A Legacy Maker is someone who uses their hands, heart, body, mind and soul to pour into another.
As quiltmakers, we do that every day.
With every stitch, you create, a little more love goes into your legacy - and the legacy of your labor-of-love.
Legacy Makers Unite
is what exactly?
This is simply a membership of like-minded quiltmakers wanting to connect with each other to move forward #AVERYQUILTS.
There's no fee. The only expense is the sharing of your time and a few scraps of fabric.
My Time, you say?
What kind of time are you talking about, Dawn? I've got a pretty long To-Do list already.
Don't worry. Legacy Makers Unite isn't going to ask anything of you. It is simply a way to connect and support those who want to find ways to connect with other Legacy Makers and to contribute to the growth of #AVERYQUILTS.
If all you can do is send in that block that you accidentally made to the wrong size, then do that.
If all you want to do is send in that spare block on your design wall, and connect with others doing the same thing, then do that.
If what you want to do is something big. There's room for you - and for your something big.
Maybe you want to help facilitate by organizing a proper 501(c)(3)? Maybe you want to contact the Children's Hospitals in your area? Maybe you want to host zoom meet ups with all the Legacy Makers, that's cool too!
It is an organic start at the moment. Where we go from here is something I am trusting The Lord for - the ordering of a bunch of footsteps for a bunch of people!
While we wait for ordered footsteps, let's keep moving the needle - moving forward, taking our footsteps, and trusting God to order them.
