A Quilt-Along Just Waiting To Happen.
I've already started, but I'll be going slowly enough that you have time to catch up. That, I promise!
I'd love to have you quilting along with me as I piece and quilt my Bounty Of Blessings quilt for my first little grandson who is expected to make his arrival in just a few weeks. "Late June," I'm told! No date, just "Late June!" Mamma doesn't want all the questions she had when baby number one was 11 days past her due date... Understandable! But, I'm not counting on this little guy being late, like his sister. I've created cutting and piecing instructions that will help us get our quilts ready for the longarm in pretty short order.
If you've not seen it already, you'll want to watch a video I published on DawnAtTheLake in which I made a tester block. Here's the link to that video.
That block was as beautiful as I had hoped, so I can't wait to get started on the other 15 blocks. Be sure to subscribe to the channel so you won't miss the next video when it is released.
I've made a PDF of Quilt Instructions for this little quilt in hopes you'll pick out some fabrics of your own and quilt-along with me. The PDF is downloadable. Or, let's say this, "It should be downloadable!" If you have any problems let me know, please. The link is above this section of text.
Something you should know: Since I'm pulling from a variety of fabric lines, I've been kinda tedious with my descriptions about the fabric and their color. If all that dosn't appeal to you, just skip it and go directly to the page called BLOCK FABRIC - A One-Page Summary.
Hey, Can I Ask A Favor Of You?
I'd like to write more patterns over time. As you read through my instructions, please let me know if you have any issues with them. Are they easy enough to follow or confusing? What would you like to see added? What was included that was unnecessary clutter for you? And, for sure, let me know if there are any errors!
Note, the instructions that I've linked for you are not comprehensive for the quilt. They will take us all the way through the making of the 16 blocks, but they also provide information necessary to know at this stage about the full quilt.
